The calendar indicates that fall is upon us. Soon the weather will cool, follow these tips to get your lawn into great shape this fall.
- Mow your lawn regularly.
- I would suggest holding off on fertilizing until we get a break in this weather. Fertilizing will stimulate more growth, which will require more watering. This will also help the grass build up food reserves during October and November to make it through the winter months.
- Did you have a lot of weeds last winter and spring before the grass starting growing? Try applying a pre-emergence herbicide (weed preventer) when the weather starts cooling off. This will help reduce the recurrence of these weeds next spring.
